i just love josh hamilton and what he's doing with his life right now.
i'm impressed that he's turned his life around. he made a decision to get up off of his drugged-out, drunk ass, get right with the world and take true advantage of what he's gifted with.
congrats on your 28 homers so far tonight, josh. congrats.

where the hell is matt?

have you ever seen www.wherethehellismatt.com?
it's one of the best things happening in the world right now.
this guy Matt has been traveling around the world on some money he saved up from a job he hated.
now he's been going all around the world doing this silly little dance and filming it.
this most recent video (at least, the most recent i've seen) has him dancing with other people.
the music with the videos makes it so poetic and peaceful. i just love it.

my "little" brother... he's not lost.

 

i love my little brother so much - no matter how tall he gets!
he's one of my best friends; that's how we grew up. our family is close. we like it like that.
 
my igoogle home page has the top three CNN stories pop up on it and this one caught my attention. after 66 years, these two holocaust-surviving siblings were reunited: http://tinyurl.com/5jfpe4
 
i cannot imagine living without my brother for 66 years not knowing if he was alive or not. and they don't know what happened to their parents either. yuck. these days, i hope nobody would have to considering all of the communication venues we have.

i'm leaving, i'm leaving...

see, this is the thing: when i get into what i'm doing, i just have the hardest time stopping!!!
i have a hard time stopping what i'm doing and i have an equally hard time getting into any other task b/c my mind's on the first thing.
like today: i had to finish this sign for the Visit DFW sponsored hole at the golf tournament Cheryl's, refresh the on-hold script, go to the lunch&learn at the chamber, order the wedding shower gift for Ruth and Paul, finish my expense report from my Pittsburgh outing (which meant calling corporate to finally get a $4 charge taken care of - seriously.), check my facebook/myspace/twitter/email/igoogle etc.
i could barely get from one thing to the other! particularly after Lisa sent this article to me and Keith about micro-blogging, which is how i heard about posterous in the first place! and then after i heard about posterous, all my mind could do was think and think of applications for this at the convention bureau! i just can't stop!
even now! i'm going to pick up their gift in Hurst and then go to the apple store in Southlake for my "specialist" appointment to i can ask questions about my iphone. i NEED one. i've been dreaming about the iphone for years. (yes, even before they made them.)
