things i’ve got on my mind...

green is good.

I want the inside of my house to look like this:

I really appreciate how eclectic, yet polished and pulled together these pictures show the house to be. Probably it's staged, but what better starting point for designing/decorating my NEW HOUSE!!! (This is not my potential new house, I just think the inside is fab!)
I'm IN ABSOLUTE LOVE with the colorful chairs as art on the dining room wall! Oh man. love. BIG love.

Today in Pictures: Monday, May. 18, 2009 (from TIME.com)

I'm kinda in love with this story. How sweet is it that this dental specialist is helping out a stork?!
That makes me really happy.
And how beautiful is that stork, too?!

Are you freaking kidding me: "Dear beloved one in christ,"

Dear beloved one in christ,

Mrs Ruth Ross [mrsruthrossfeelingss@gmail.com]

To:          undisclosed-recipients

Dear beloved one in christ,

I know that this letter may be a very big surprise to you, I came across your email contact from my personal search and I instructed the doctor here in this hospital to help me email you and I believe that you will be honest to fulfill my final wish before I will die.

I am Mrs Ruth Ross from Netherland, I am 68 years old, I am deaf and suffering from a long time cancer of the breast. From all  indication my condition is really deteriorating, and my doctors have courageously advised me that I may not live beyond the  next two months, this is because the cancer stage has reached a critical stage.  I was brought up in a motherless babys home, and was married to my late husband for twenty years without a child.

My husband  and I are true Christians,we lived all day in Abidjan, Ivory coast, since he was working here as a contractor, but quite  unfortunately,he died in a fatal motor accident.Since his death I decided not to re-marry and because of my bad state of health,I sold all my inherited belongings and deposited all the sum of $12.8million dollars with a bank in United States New York.

Presently, this money is still in the BANK, and the management just wrote me as the Legitimate beneficiary to come forward  to receive the money after keeping it for so long or rather issue a letter of authorization to somebody to receive it on my  behalf since I can not come over as a result of my illness, or they get it confiscated.Presently, I'm with my laptop in a  hospital where I have been undergoing treatment.I have since lost my ability to talk and my doctors have told me that I have  only a few months to live.

It is my last wish to see that this money is invested in any organization of your choice and distributed each year among the  charity organization, the poor and the motherless baby's home where I come from.I want your good humanitarian,to also use t his money to fund churches, orphanages andwidows around.

I must let you know  that this was a very hard decision, but I had to take a bold step towards this issue because I have no further option. I hopeyou will help see my last wishes come true.

As soon as I receive your reply I shall give you the contact of the Bank in United States New York. I will also issue a letter of authority the bank, which will prove that you are the new beneficiary of my funds. Please assure me that you will act accordingly as I stated herein.Hope to hear from you soonest.

I await your reply on this my beloved.

Yours in Christ,

Mrs Ruth Ross.

Met Willy Wonka's M&M guy in the elevator yesterday!

Just for being curious about the M&Ms displays in the hallways during our PRSA conference at the Intercontinental Hotel, one of the M&Ms guys gave me his last Snickers bar. It was SO satisfying after my run. :)

Kansas City Country Club Plaza - Wornall Bridge

Pretty architecture thanks to the genius who decided to travel all around Europe and THEN decide on the look and feel of his fledgeling shopping center.
Developers name to follow...
PRSA conference is good. Good presenters, reconnecting with old friends and pretty weather! What more could you ask for? :)

I got in!

I got in to Texas State!

I am soooo excited to start grad school!!!

Orientation is at the end of August and our Modernism & Design art history class will meet for the first time mid-September. I feel so grown up! :)

Here are the course descriptions for the two classes I think i'll take: (it's only two at a time since it's distance learning + working full time)
Modernism & Design
This course examines the modernist movement as it emerged in America between 1920 and 1960 in various communication design media. The impact of modernism, modernism arriving in America, the creative 1940’s, and American design mid-century will be explored.
Experimental Book
Students will explore the experimental printed book including concept, design, and unique production such as unique binding methods.

and here was my neckwear choice for today:  (somehow this makes sense to me that the two are correlated; like how on days i wear a bright blue shirt - i'm talking royal blue - Douglas MacArthur High School BLUE - i always have a happy day. it just makes sense that i'd be wearing happy necklaces today)

1001 rules for my unborn son - Thomas Jefferson

Check out this website I found: rulesformyunbornson.tumblr.com

On matters of style,
swim with the current.

On matters of principle,
stand like a rock.

-Thomas Jefferson

And I like number sixteen also: 16. You are what you do, not what you say.
